We do
We are capable in undertaking various metal casting processes to manufacture ductile iron castings and grey iron castings. Our world class casting facility enables us to offer both reusable and expandable castings for industrial products and parts in both OEM and customized specifications. We follow the international casting practices, which are as follows:
Sand Casting
It is the most basic and economical among the casting processes. The sand casting and sand molded casting consists of a two-part sand casting mold. The upper part is called the Cope whereas the lower part is called the Drag. In sand molded casting process, a cavity is formed in the sand by using a pattern made of metal. The cavity is contained in a flask and cores are put in the cavity to form holes as per the required shapes. In the sand casting mold, extra void or Riser is created in to contain excessive molten material in order to prevent voids in the main casting.
Shell Molded Casting
In shell molded casting, the metal pattern is first heated at high temperatures. Afterwards, it is covered with a mixture of sand and thermosetting plastic. It forms a skin of sand and plastic mixture, which adheres to the pattern. The shell mold is then formed after removing the skin from the pattern. The two halves of the shell-molded casting are secured together and metal is poured into the shell to form the desired part. After the solidification of metal, the shell is broken.
